This Is Enough

This is enough
I have me
I have you
And you

I am whole
And complete
With a tree
With a breeze

I am love
To give to you
To feel from you
To feed my hunger

I am nourished
I am balanced
The centres
Are in harmony, they sing

One by one
The frequency aligns
The vibration grows
The spirits watch

Two thumbs up
They give with smiles
That light the way
To a new world, a new way

I need nothing more
Than the sea
And the sun
To open the door

Dance I will
Alone and free
Willing and open
It is in place

I have you
You have me
It’s all I need
To keep me free

Your children are my children
I will nurture and delight
And always bring the light
When times change

When you are alone
My heart is here
When I am alone
I know you are near

We keep the lines
Tethered and held
Because love
Is our bursting blood

I drink water
To give back
To my soul
What it requires

To build more
Dream more
To fly higher
To be strength

This is enough
You and you
Sky, sun and moon
I am full of trust

Closer and closer
Honest I am
In love
In life

Glimmer and Gold

Pay attention to the glow
For it will show you where to go
The shaking and luminous light
To take your attention away for the night

Is it night or day, I can’t seem to say
The haze of the slow morning leads the way
Toward a small glimmer in a village nearby
It shines along a path, reflecting images up high

Stand and look up and then down
Do you hear the wind inside this town?
It whips around corners
And alerts the warner’s

How the breeze comes and goes
Leaving hangovers in rows
Swiftly then slowly
The pace of the air is holy

Alone along an empty street
With the wind kissing my bare feet
Moving, yet very still
The sun peaking, removes the chill

The shadows along the stone walls
Like friends surrounding me in applause
As the sun moves down this alley
I refuse to dally

One single step, then another
Has a little bit more thunder
And then the wind halts
And the stray cats begin their waltz

A quiet morning with angels
Working hard they swoop from all angles
Into the spaces of their assigned ones
Bringing their messages in different sums

The street is empty I stand alone
The vibrant blue door sets the tone
Sun rising, rocks and rubble surround
The buildings hold secrets abound

A mysterious place is this
But I know this land, we had our first kiss
It tickles inside my heart
An unexpected fresh start

Morocco you know what?
The way you are, it’s not what I thought
The beauty and the magic
Sits and moves like a soft silk fabric

Woven particles of past and here
Touch those that are now so dear
I remember the smell of that walk
And the secret way the alley would talk

Colours and dusts of old
They made their way into my soul
Gifted a memory I’ll always hold
That morning on that street, inside the red glimmer and gold

When You Came That Day

When you came that day
I could not find a way to say
How your presence allowed me
To find a bit more glee

Lying there as the breeze came in
Your eyes and your heart brought me a grin
Within my soul, I felt it with all my might
So I decided, right then and there, to keep up the fight

The music you brought was familiar
As you strummed your guitar, I did remember
The days when we were young
When we had a little bit of fun

That time you tore off down the street
After the ball I threw at your feet
You raced like lightning
Watching you fly, was such a sighting

The thunder comes in waves
I miss you and regret my many ways
I wish I could tell you why
But it would make you cry

You showed up that day
So there isn’t any kind of way
I could bring sorrow
To your hopeful morrow

The past doesn’t matter
I left because I was full of chatter
Of the wrong kind
I was so blind

But I can see clearly now
And you showed me how
The way that you are
Completely raised the bar

Our story might be
One of tragedy
But like all losses
It doesn’t have to be

As my eyes closed and I listened
The stars I did see, they glistened
Your position and offer
Helped me not to suffer

For just a few moments
It was so very important
Your sound filled my heart
I dreamed of a fresh start

I can never explain my love
What lives inside you is something of a dove
For what you did for me
Has given an unlikely ability

To know your heart
And to see your start
On a journey
That I was never a part

You chose to show me
How kindness can be
After all these years
You took away my fears

This has given me power
To hang on and live for the flower
That I see blooming
Inside your garden, it is wonderfully soothing

You are not like the rest
The courage living in your chest
Amazes and delights
It fires up all the lights

It sure has given me strength
Your music, I wish it had no length
I could listen forever
Because it changes the weather

Outside and inside
The storm turned into pride
When you came that day
And decided to play

Decided to stay
