Sweat Price Tag

Let me sell you my sweat
If you only knew the price
You’d need to buy a valley too
To hold it all and own all the rights

Do you feel better now?
Sitting on the porch sipping gin
Watching the sunset, alone
I know you’re thinking about your sin

As the air stares at you in thick
What’s behind you is not the truth
Carrying forward today the clips
Of a new reality is all the needed proof

It’s quiet and you’re strong
The landscape mimics your mind
The vast empty space, endless direction
It holds you still, steady and kind

Let me sell you my thoughts
You’ve paid a lot and here you are
No debt, no regret, no fret
The darkness is gone, you’re lit like a star

There is always room for your gaze
You do this for you and it’s prepaid
Because the timing is right
The message is clear, that you’ve been saved

The last time you sat and stared
The sky wasn’t this big
The sun wasn’t this bright
The water, boy you really had to dig

But look, now it flows and it shows
The pressure lives somewhere else
The mountains are with you
They gave what you needed, look at your delts

You let the silence treat your wounds
I watch as the fainting sound sews the gash
It’s beautiful, you reach so deep
Laying back and feeling this, what a bash

Whispering the wind does, let’s hear it
The numbers don’t stop, over and over
The colour of your grin sends the cattle into battle
As they run you’re calm, a slow stalling motor

It’s coming easy peasy, and so very breezy
Taking off your shirt, sweat is running
All the many beads are enough
To fill the valley. Our sweat, is stunning.
