Moon Song

It’s time to start
One thing derived from heart
The water over my toes
Can’t leave here, it’s all I know

Green and white, oh what a sight
Brown and blue, you are so true
Without you I’d really lose
Without you I’d really lose

They say things work out
Just the way they’re supposed to
But what if things work in
Mysterious ways just to teach you
That there’s nothing wrong
With following the moon

White noise and sunshine boys
Taking a walk, it’s just a choice
Sipping decaf watching the gulls
It’s funny how the mind mulls and mulls

Did you notice the fading?
Or have you stopped waiting
For the stars to change shape
Or for bones to never break

They say things work out
Just the way they’re supposed to
But what if things work in
Mysterious ways just to teach you
That there’s nothing wrong
With following the moon

  1. Had to read this one a few times because I liked the flow and lightness of it. Kind of like the way my mind likes to work on a nothing sort of day or a sequence in a dream…
