Nurtured by Nature

You came by today and it was so good to see you.

When you touched me I felt your energy,
the warmth of your soul.

There were many others around but it just felt like us two.

As I looked down, you looked up,
we smiled and we were whole.

Many years together now, today was an important day.

My branches sheltered you and you
took the power.

Invigoration, strength and courage I smelled in your blood, it was a splay.

Your face, the sweetest sight not even the rain
could give a more beautiful shower.

You’ve been a victim too many times, but I’m right here, in between the sea and the silence.

I’ll never leave, and you know that. I’m always here when you come
and I’m standing stronger because you visit me.

When you arrived today again, I was grateful because I felt our special alliance.

There are many stories ahead for you, there are plenty of souls waiting,
you hear their plea.

You acknowledge me every time like it’s our very first meeting, and the aliveness I feel from your presence is purifying and thrilling.

Next time you could stay longer if you’d like, you could wrap your arms around me
and our souls could ignite, that’d be nice.

I could transfer some of my vibration and my deepest wisdom into your veins
and we could see together, the secrets of the future.

You’re always welcome here, I’ll always wait for you, my eyes will open
wider with glee when you approach.

Let’s keep listening to the birds and the breeze together and watch the others buzzing by.

When you’re here, life makes more sense, it’s where you’re supposed to be,
it’s where I am, it’s where we meet and where the Universe begins to listen and coordinate.

Our power together cannot compare, the truths we hold don’t match other realms.

We can choose, we can see, we can breathe, and we can be still,
strong, alone and very free…together.

Thank you for coming today, what a treat. Will you come tomorrow?
It’s ok if you don’t, be free and I’ll wait

The Sound of Sirens

The sound of sirens silences.
You never heard them, they were so loud.
The lights flashing, colours blazing, screaming.
The decibels at the highest pitch, you didn’t flinch.

The heart that stole you, the breath that saved you.
Gone in an instant, the injuries and impact, not minor.
Little bumps, little bumps, little bumps.
A tearful scene inside the mind, smoother now, without alert.

Standing by and watching the chaos, feeling the weight.
Waiting for something, anything to lift the suspicion.
She saw all along, but stayed because she is pure, she is love.
But the sirens are silenced now, no more dilation of sight.

You took nine wrong steps, she led you back and you let her slip.
She knows who you are more than you do.
She wanted to love you, she let herself go somewhere for you.
She will not look back, she will never come back.

The risks, the time, the lies, the loneliness is no more.
The significance of her, of you, of it all, holds now a secret, a lesson.
School was in but now it’s out, the path is very changed.
Chalkboard statements erased.

The planets designed this, they directed the show.
The actors and their parts following script, line by line.
Memorizing became easy, learning became the challenge.
Soaking wet scenes full of spark and defence, trying to calm a drowning tiger.

She lights a candle for you everyday, as you do too.
The beauty in the growth, the transition, the purpose and the alarm.
Never ever will forget, never will the tide stop moving.
Washing away, washing away, washing away the clutch, the cling, the sting.

Who are they now? Who are they really?
Two souls of wonderful light, they gave to one another amidst a storm.
The sound of sirens are silenced. She heard loud and clear.
There is no more mystery. The diamond, is stronger than ever.

Wolves and Wine

You took off like a bullet.
Do bullets actually take…off?
I put on a sweater because it’s cold now.
Your absence brings an age of…ice.

Icy shivers down my spine.
I’m going to add to my sweater, some wine.
I don’t drink, is this ok? I look at your face, but I’m blind.
It’s a good thing we never signed.

I’m inside a warm and cozy cave.
I’ve got tools and I know how to save.
It’s just us now. You’re my fav.
The fire I’ve got inside, keeps me brave.

I’m ok huddled here, I’ll be ok.
I can hear the wolves outside, I hope they stay.
It’s peaceful in here, I’ve made a good spot to lay.
The night is long but today…is the day.

The cave walls have a smooth look.
No jagged or rough edges, nowhere for a hook.
I feel safe. The flames burning, crackling, I remember what you took.
Be careful out there, don’t get shook.

I sit here by the fire, in my sweater in this cave.
I watch their movement outside, the wolves pace back and forth.
I’m not afraid. I think they are my protection, not here for an election.
Thank you dear wolf pack, for having my back.

How did I get here? Huddled, alone, protected by wolves?
I can see the sky outside a bit. It’s bare.
What a feeling this is. Uncertain and unsettled, but in good care.
Fire is comfort for my soul and my mind. I close my eyes.

The heat pressing my face, it got brighter even without sight.
I pray that you are alive and safe.
I hope you come back one day. But until you do. I’ll wait.
Here inside this cave, behind the wolves. In my sweater.
With my wine. With my tribe.
