Oral Fixation

We wait side by side.
Twice a day we cannot hide.
I think of your white paste,
dressing my bristles without haste.

When you touch me it’s wet.
Your minty thick texture I like to pet,
as we move together inside,
a mouth of moist and warmth, let’s ride.

It’s a dance, my bristles
and your thick, goopy whistles.
Tango we do to create a foaming,
then boom, I’m horizontal and moaning.

Back and forth, up and down,
we work together to change the frown.
What we create is so fresh, so clean
without us, breath is just mean.

We are never allowed to part.
I hope to taste you forever, my heart.
The very thought of you turns my limbic system
into a vibrating dopamine dictator, “Kiss him, kiss him!”

My dear Sense O’ Dyne,
so sensitive, so fine.
Don’t change anything, especially your
tube like shape, you move me into rhyme.

That first touch, your clutch,
you felt so new and different.
As you slowly twisted off your cap,
my excitement bore clap after clap.

The way you protect and repair,
the way I softly massage the gum,
we are an effective and perfect pair and this
will always be, way too much fun.

fog

the mist, or is it cloud,
inching to find my sight
pushes its way between
still and soldier like height

thick at times and translucent
the fog follows the birds
listens to the sun and bellows
under the moon, hoping to be heard

watching it is like looking at ghosts
swimming over tree tops,
walking on water, floating below
mountains, at ease, drifting white blankets

from afar it sends an ethereal calming,
quieting down the fire in the city,
glad it decided to sedate the noise
steeping its feet around the streets

here and down low it’s today’s show
I wish I was closer, so I could breathe it in
and feel the layers on my skin
peeling away my sight and direction

but for now I’ll just admire it as it
changes and grows and flows
feeding the flora and following delicately
the advice of the leaves and the bees

This Is Not a Poem (it looks like one though, but it’s not)

One, Two, Four (shit I forgot Three), Five, Six, Seven.
How many seconds of your life
you’ve lost reading this spiel,
was it worth it?
No?
Fuck
I’ll try harder. Eight, Nine, Ten, Twelve
(why is my mind skipping numbers
I know they’re there).
Time’s a ticking I have no idea what to write
to keep you interested.
Fuck
How about Whole Foods?
I know a lot about Whole Foods.
Not because I’m a west coast hipster
who eats dandelion greens salads
and mango for dinner but,
(well actually that is me but for the sake of
holding your interest to keep reading this…
whatever this is, I won’t talk
about my granola lifestyle),
but because Whole Foods has great seating
to eat and people watch.
You don’t even need to actually buy
anything from the store you could straight up
just bring KFC and Starbucks
and sit by the window minding your business
next to the guy eating a watermelon
with a wooden spoon and no one would care.
Whole Foods wants you to be comfortable
and accepted, I think anyway.
That’s the vibe I get and why I go there.
Because really, with the world the way it is,
I just want comfort with a little bit of
acceptance on the side. I love sides.
So on days when I feel like I’m going
to lose my shit,
I go to Whole Foods,
park it at the tall long bar like table
facing the window, and watch people and cars
until sanity returns
and then I relocate to the chocolate aisle
and buy an $8 organic, vegan, sugar free
chocolate bar that tastes like chalk.
700% antioxidant factor though.
Hit me with the most theobromine possible.
Today I sat outside under the heat lamps
and had broccoli and cauliflower
slathered with thyme. I had enough time.
Woman beside me was eating
Subway.
Thirteen, Fourteen, Fifteen, Sixteen, Seventeen.
Yes!
My brain’s back online. It’s the
flavanols.
Want some?
Have some.
Was it worth making
it to the end?
Maybe?

Good
